Weekly Focus Breakdown

Each week of the camp is carefully structured to focus on key aspects of the game. Players will develop their skills through a balanced combination of drills, matches, and strategy sessions.

Monday: Consistency + Stamina

Begin the week with a strong emphasis on consistency. The aim is to teach players how to maintain a steady level of performance throughout long rallies.

Stamina-building drills and exercises help athletes endure the demands of high-level match play.

Tuesday: Movement + Defensive Skills

Learn how to cover the court efficiently and position yourself defensively. Movement drills sharpen footwork, while defensive techniques ensure you remain in control even under pressure.

Wednesday: Directions + Attacking Skills (Including Volleys)

Players will focus on controlling the direction of their shots and transitioning to offense. Attacking drills and net play (volleys) are essential components of this session to enhance aggressive gameplay.

Thursday: Serving & Returning + Relevant Strategy

A well-rounded tennis player knows the importance of serving and returning. This day focuses on mastering serve techniques, return skills, and strategies tailored to different opponents.

Friday: Point/Match Play & Strategy

Players will engage in match-play scenarios, integrating all the skills and strategies from the week. These matches are critical for understanding competitive pressure and learning how to outsmart opponents in real-time.

Weatherproof Training

Our camp is weatherproof, ensuring no time is lost due to unpredictable weather. In the event of rain or extreme heat, sessions will be moved indoors to the Fort Lee Racquet Club (FLRC). This alternate location guarantees that training continues smoothly without interruptions.

  • Morning Sessions: Focus on conditioning, fitness, strength training, and mental strategies to build resilience and focus on and off the court.
  • Afternoon Sessions: Transition to indoor tennis training, where we’ll continue technical and tactical development.

The Fort Lee Racquet Club’s state-of-the-art facilities ensure that all players receive the best environment for their training, regardless of outdoor conditions.
